Varank visited the ASELSAN Precision Optics Production Facility operating in the Sivas Organized Industrial Zone. After receiving information from Osman Yıldırım, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASELSAN Precision Optics Industry and Trade Inc, Varank told press members that ASELSAN and local industrialists in Sivas jointly established the facility.
Emphasizing that the facility produces high technology and value-added production, Varank said: "Rifle scopes, lenses, night vision systems, thermal cameras are produced here. ASELSAN produced this technology, and then they established this facility here and started production."
Stating that more than 200 people are employed in the factory, Varank said.
"We export rifle-mounted binoculars and cameras to many countries around the world through ASELSAN. I was very pleased to see this facility here. We have witnessed here how our big companies and suppliers have come together and established a successful system. Hopefully, we have more work to do here. Our investors here want to expand the factory and make Sivas one of the exemplary cities in the world in terms of lenses. In addition, the partner company of this company has studies on contact lenses, intraocular lenses. They also have their own patented products and technologies. Hopefully, with facilities like this, we want to make our cities exemplary cities in value-added production."
