Optical Production

In the optical production unit, grinding, polishing, centering, optical thin film coating, single point diamond turning, polycarbonate lens, maskless photolithography and measurement processes are carried out both manually and by means of high precision CNC machines. Measurement processes are carried out with interferometers and profilometers to verify the design.

- In laser optics, the surface roughness is 0.2 fringe λ/10) and the surface quality is 20/10.

Optical Thin Film Coating

Under 10,000 class clean room conditions, Transmittance values greater than 99.6% and reflectivity values greater than 98% are obtained as a result of thin film coating processes by physical evaporation method on optical units. As a result of these high precision productions, all optical units such as lenses, prisms, windows and filters in all regions from ultraviolet wavelength to near infrared wavelength have been nationalized. In class 1000 clean room conditions, optical thin film coating processes are carried out by PVD method.

Reticle Transfer with Maskless Photolithography Method

Reticle printing is performed on the surface of prisms with the maskless photolithography method. Our maskless photolithography device has a resolution of 0.6 microns and is capable of processing 28 prisms at a time.

The processing of a single prism can be completed in approximately 15 seconds.

Mechanical Production

Aselsan Sivas has the capability to efficiently manufacture precision optomechanical parts at low cost. The mechanical manufacturing process starts with the manufacturability analysis of the parts designed in the computer environment, and the parts whose production scheme is determined are produced according to this order. All production is carried out by means of 4/5 axis, milling and lathes.

- Completed mechanical parts are subjected to quality control process on CMM benches according to the tolerances specified in the documents.

Assembly and Testing

At Aselsan Sivas Assembly Unit, subassemblies of optical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical and periscope systems are produced. The completed subassemblies are brought to the device level in controlled clean areas, subjected to system tests and military environmental conditions tests, and turned into products.

AS9100 Aerospace Aviation and ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards are applied at all stages from the approval of the materials by the incoming quality unit until they are packaged as products.
